I had this installed in the wall by an excellent contractor but I had him view a YouTube video of a typical installation before he tackled the job. It took him less than an hour. The safe is solid and secure. The best feature is the biometrics and we do not need to have a key or remember a combination. The only caveat is that it is not very deep and is best suited for small articles that rest vertically in the safe. If you have large or bulky items to keep secure, this is not the safe for you. Otherwise, it is highly recommended.
We bought this safe for my Dad who is almost 90 He loves it, except he could not make the fingerprint reader recognize his prints. After speaking to the manufacturers rep, we were told that when most people turn around 70 years old, their fingerprints start "wearing off" making them unreadable and the only solution in this case is to abandon the fingerprint reader and use the key lock.
