All Sentry®Safe Fire-Safe® products meet rigorous standards for fire protection. To meet these stringent test requirements, the products’ interiors must remain below 350°F during a typical fire.

Advances in engineering and technology pioneered and patented by Sentry Group have made this possible with products that are fire-rated for 1/2 , 1 or 2 hours of proven fire protection. Depending on the model selected, a Fire-Safe® product will be either UL classified or ETL certified. Both UL and ETL are independent testing laboratories that have verified or certified the fire protection claims made.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Fire Testing
In independent Underwriters Laboratory tests, Sentry®Safe Fire-Safe® products are subjected to fire for 1/2, 1 or 2 hours. For a product to earn a UL classification, the documents stored inside must remain completely undamaged.

ETL 1/2-Hour Fire Endurance Test
SentrySafe Fire-Safe products are subjected to temperatures of 1200° F (760° C) for 1/2 hour. The interior remains below 350° F (177° C).

All SentrySafe Fire-Safe products carry a lifetime after-fire replacement guarantee if subjected to or damaged by fire.
